Hi Chris

A quick note to thank you very much for the very quick return of the TC to me.
I think the job you have done is stunning. It is so neat and tidy it looks like a Time Capsule should.
It certainly seems to be running much cooler and the fan is running so low as to be quite unnoticeable.
I really appreciate your commitment to quality on this and would love to do the mod to the other TC’s I have (2 of).
Just working out if I’m brave enough to take the base off and PSU out to send to you!

Thanks again.. Really appreciate it.
Mark

Hi Chris,
My repaired and modified time capsule arrived safely today and is presently busy backing up my iMac.
I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with the service you provided.
The repairs are so neat they don't look like repairs at all!
Your communication was first rate from initially contacting you through to the happy reunion with my time capsule.
I had wondered about cutting my losses and buying a new time capsule but I am so pleased I didn't as it saved me a bit of dosh,
it saved throwing away a perfectly serviceable piece of hardware and, more importantly, I have more faith in this repaired version than I would a new one!
You do a great job Chris and thank you very much for bringing my machine back from the grave…
All the very best,
Chris Sayer

2011 December 6
Hi Chris,
Just to let you know that the Time Capsule is happily back at home, working perfectly.
I have now learnt not to put electrical devices with known overheating problems in the hot water cupboard (In my defence that is where the phone socket is)
Very professional looking job and I appreciate that you cleaned it pretty thoroughly too – looks brand new!
Thanks again,
Mike
[I am OK if you use my comments as testimonial]

Hi Chris
Many thanks for the very quick repair, I installed it Sunday PM and all is well in the Walker house on the backup up front J.
I am impressed with the overall drop in surface temperature.
I will email a few photos showing my “extra” tweaks when I get five minutes.

Thanks again

Kind regards
Chris.

Hello Chris.
My TC was waiting me at home yesterday evening.
Thank you for the fantastic job.
Even the rubber base that I however damaged a lot seems like a new one.

Best regards.

Hi Chris

TC arrived safely today and I've just fired her up and is back doing what she does best.
I must say you've done a very tidy job, very impressive.

Many thanks
Tim

2011 November 26
Hi Chris.

The TC arrived this morning. Fired it up and all running perfectly.
Great to have it back in action and looking better than when I sent it to you.
It’s nice to hear it working away with its new and improved sound track.
The work looks great, very high standard and professional - Apple would be proud and should be offering you shares!

Again massive thanks for making me a happy man again and for your great sense of humour in our email conversations, it kept me smiling during my non-TC period!

Cheers.

Chris,
I can't thank you enough for your detailed explanation and pictures on the time capsule repair and modifications!

I'm not an expert at doing the electrical stuff and your guidance gave me the help to do it by "myself"

The hardest part was finding caps, but I found someone who had them nearby and was able to get some similar caps from him.

I did the whole thing, PSU, fan and case mod and it worked great.

Thank you.  Thank you. Thank you.

I had a lot of fun with this project and learned a bit about electronics along the way!

Has arrived.
Nice work thank you. And souvenir capacitors to remind me forever of the pain and anguish I have suffered. Very thoughtful!

Thanks very much.

Hi Chris,

The modifications are superb, and I am very pleased with your work.
Thank you again, and all the best to you in the future.

2011 September 1 (but only remembered now! :-) )
Hi Chris,

Posty tried to deliver yesterday, but he waited till we were out! A trip to the post office today though has returned our TC  to it's home.
Unwrapped it ( very nicely packed BTW), plugged it in, joined to our new wireless network and it is currently backing up. Rather nicely it has just carried on from where it last backed up.
Great work, thanks for the caps - can see at least two of them are bulging.

I am the technical manager for an electronics sub contractor
( google me if you want to find out which) so I know just how this sort of work should be done. Was tempted just to do it myself, but the pics on your site of the fan mod impressed me enough to send the thing to you.
Thanks a lot.

(A fellow Apple user, in the US of A, rolled up his sleeves and tackled his dead TC with the help of my DIY notes... this is what Tim wrote...)

2011 October 19
Chris;
I just successfully completed a time capsule repair for my 500gb version.  I was able to repair the power supply and update the fan and bottom plate according to your directions with few problems.  OK, buying 33Kohm resistors instead of 33ohm resistors gave me a moment of panic, but even stupidity was no match for your thorough and complete directions.  Thank you so much for taking the time to put these instructions together and for sharing them with the world.  I for one am truly appreciative of your efforts.

My biggest departure from your directions had to do with modifying the aluminum plate. I didn't have a hole drill, so I just used a hand drill and enlarged a 4X4 array of holes below the fan.  This allows some airflow and negated the need for a grate.  I cut a square of rubber out of the bottom cover, although punching corresponding holes would have lead to a cleaner finish.  The final product is nowhere near as clean looking as your finished products, but it'll do for me.

Thanks again for your efforts!

Sincerely,
Tim

Chris,

The TC?
Yes, all up and working fine.
What magical powers you have! I was expecting the fan to be a bit noisy and intrusive, but it's a very light hum, only noticeable if nothing else is on.
All in all: a very neat and tidy job.
I'm very pleased!

Michael

2011 October 9
Chris,

I've managed to get it running by using the default settings rather than a previous profile.
Not a problem as I had little personal stuff I hadn't backed up elsewhere.
I'm so pleased you're out there providing this service as I like the TC as a piece of quality design (but rubbish hardware!!).
It's great to have it working again.

Once again, well done.
Superb.

Regards,
Mike

2011 October 9
Hello Chris,
the TC is back in Germany and is working flawlessly. The fan modification
does not look like a mod at all, looks like it has always been that way!

Great work, Chris.

It was a real pleasure to do business with you, excellent work, fast and
pleasant communication, I will happily recommend your service to anybody
whose TC died.

Regards,
Sven

Chris,
Woohoo!
I've got a green light and after updating the firmware it seems to be backing up.
Thanks for all your help.
Fingers crossed - that's me sorted.
It all looks very neat by the way.
I'll try to stay out of trouble now.

Hi again Chris,

The TC PSU you repaired it's working like a champ, it gets a little hotter but i shutdown in my sleep time.
I have two more TC PSUs to repair with exactly the same symptoms.

Chris,

I received your fantastic bit of engineering this morning in the post.
Well done - looks great.

One quick question........................do you not normally punch small vent holes in for the hot air to escape out of the unit??

Many thanks again for the effort.
As mentioned I will keep you informed of the response from my senior Apple guys.
Keep up the good work - as mentioned you should be an Apple employee - with the benefit of company share options!

Best,

Hi Chris,
Repaired my faulty Time Capsule today with the help of your great instructions, and it saved me $270 (what the apple store wanted for a repair).
The capacitors only cost a couple bucks.

Thanks,

Hi Chris,

Am impressed with the TC and your work. Took a while to work out how to open the TC! But then admired the thought you put into this 'design'.
When I have some spare time, I will get a 'green' WD HDD which should run cooler - do you have any recommendation for replacement HDDs?

Thanks again.

2011 September 30
Dear Chris,

Thank you very much for sending back the much improved time capsule.
Thank you, too, for your very clear guide to keeping the dust down.
We've just plugged it and all looks well.

With best wishes,

Hi Chris,

Just got round to setting up the TC. It is now working perfectly.
Yipee!
The mod looks fantastic too, thanks for all your efforts.

2011 September 27
Hi Chris,

TC bits arrived this morning thanks very much.
I have reassembled it and it is working well.

Very neat job, I especially like the little tags you leave to stop the screw plugs from being lost!
All I have to do now is to remember to vac it out.

BTW I have replaced the HD with a 'green' 1TB drive I had lying around while I was at it, can't remember exactly which (it's all screwed up tight again), but it's one that was recommended on various sites.  The airport utility said that the drive needed repairing, possibly as it recognised it as a new one, does 'erase' in the TC prefs do this?
Disc utility doesn't find airport discs I believe.

Anyway many thanks for the repair, it looks great, and is working well.

Hi Chris,

Well, my TC arrived back home in one piece this morning.

I want to thank you for such a brilliant job! The TC is purring away again and it's good to now hear the fan!!

Chris, you have completed this repair beyond my expectations. Thank you, thank you, for offering such a great service!
Apple should take note!!

Hi Chris!!!
TC arrived today, superB work!!

Running smoothly, no overheating, Superb finish, no marks, no scratches. No loss in network / wifi config.
The old 1TB HD is working fine, no data loss.
Thank you!

Hi Chris,
I just wanted to drop you a note to say my TC works perfectly, the 3TB upgrade is an awesome amount of storage and I can now safely backup my music collection as planned.
Thanks for your energetic and quick turnaround on the PSU fix - and for packaging the offending capacitors so neatly in their own little bag ;)

The workmanship is top notch, the TC looks like it's been back to Apple for a makeover - an ultimate makeover...

Thanks again!

Hello Chris,

Just a quick note to say thank you for the returned, fixed and upgraded Time Capsule, which worked out of the box. The fact that you were able to restore it to full (indeed, enhanced) functionality, without trashing all the original settings was a Godsend. I remember the pain I endured setting it up initially, to get it to work with a static IP address and Back To My Mac, and I was dreading having to go through all that again.

But there was no need to worry.  Having done my initial sync with both laptops, I am looking forward to a long time before having to archive stuff - clearly, 3TB is a MASSIVE amount of hard drive space!

The job you did looks fantastic, functional and first class.  Thank you for your skill, speed and sense of humour!

Hi Chris

The Time Capsule is back home now in Muscat, Oman. Plugged it in to my network and it's all working perfectly. I'm sure the improved cooling will be even more appreciated in this desert heat!

Thanks again for giving it another lease of life, much cheaper than the £180 Apple quoted for a like for like replacement, and that would have only gone and burnt out again anyway!

Hi Chris
It arrived this morning, haven't had a chance to power it up yet but the job looks great. It will be good to have it back in service!
Thanks a lot for your time working on this, I'll certainly point people your way if anyone needs TC repairs in the future.

2011 August 18
Hi Chris,

The Time Capsule is safely back home.  I've set it back up, we're all back on wifi...bliss and peace reign here again....and I'm currently backing up onto Time Machine.

It's a strange but wonderful sound to hear the fan working for the first time on the TC.

What I am gobsmack-ed by, (from an architecture and design background), is the level of care you've give to the detailing of the repair.  The hole that's been cut in the rubber base is like a factory finish. The covered screw heads are virtually imperceptible.  The feet are a simple and intelligent solution to the 'get air flow to the underside of the TC' problem.  So...nice work there...I imagine that it would have taken quite a bit of trial and error to get all that right....but it's important as the TC still looks good.  If you take that much care on the outside then that is, I trust, an indication of the level of care that is invested on the inside gubbinses!

So....very happy here.  Thanks for being someone who's taken the time to offer a solution to this rare but unbelievable apple design bodge job.

-Vicki

Hello Chris,

Just a quick note to say thank you very much for repairing my TimeCapsule power supply.
That's one amazing piece of repair work.

It arrived on Tuesday - I dropped it back into place, fastened everything back together, and it is working fine.
Those old black capacitors that you returned did look a bit worse for wear - I wonder if they all blew at once, or whether it was limping along for a while as they went down one by one?

Thanks again for your work - much appreciated!
Best regards,
Julian

I would certainly use your services again - though of course I hope I don't have to!

Hello Chris,
This is to confirm that the TC you have worked on so hard has now been delivered safely and I have set it up successfully. The first Time Machine backup to the new 2TB disc is running as I write this.
I must record that I am delighted with your workmanship on the new fan arrangement – it’s absolutely beautiful! ... And the unit is only slightly warm to the touch – I shall have to find another surface on which to fry eggs ;-)
I’ve made a note of your recommendations about hoovering the mesh in front of the fan; set an automatic reminder to do it once a month (my physical desk top gets a dusting at about the same frequency).

Once again, thank you very much indeed.

Best Wishes
Michael

PS please feel free to quote me if anyone asks you for a customer affidavit.

Hello Chris,
Thank you, once again, for the new update. I am very impressed with the speed with which you have turned my TC around.
I’ve taken another look at the photos on your web site and am looking forward to showing off my very own modified unit to various Mac-oriented friends and asking them to ‘spot the difference’.
I will definitely let you know when it arrives and provide you with some feedback.
Many thanks again for all your hard work and encouragement.

Kind regards

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the speedy repair on my Time Capsule PSU. I am really pleased with the work and service you offer and didn't expect to get the faulty parts back you removed (a nice touch).
I'd definitely recommend your services to anyone with a faulty Time Capsule!
Thanks once again.

Very neat and professional work.

Chris,
The TC has landed!
A very neat and professional job from what I can see, and your service has been really a pleasure. It's so good to know that there are experts such as yourself & Allen out there when Apples go pear-shaped...

(and a day or so later...)

Hi Chris
Just to reiterate, very happy with the work you did on my TC. With Allen's help it's all back in action, and I'm pleased to say it's no longer splitting the oak boards on the old desk it sits upon!
The gentle fan noise is perfectly acceptable, especially as I know it's doing what it should do.
Thanks again, it's been a pleasure.

Geoff

(Tim Pearson sent me a TC to modify 1 year ago almost to the week - I then checked the PSU and it worked OK but was clearly ‘walking wounded’. It is now repaired and the TC is working again)

Hi Chris,
Fantastic work as always - I am up and running again fine.

Many Thanks

Tim

Hi Chris,
Just a quick email to let you know, it arrived today. Spot on mate, very nice job.

Really appreciate it.

All the best,
Simon.

Hi Chris.

TC arrived today and is working a treat. It even remembered all it's setup data and so was a doddle to get back online.
Quality of the finished article is great and it just seems so much more practical than the original design.
The advice note re cleaning the filter is a nice touch as well.

Thanks for a great service at a good price. I will have no hesitation in recommending your service to others.

Yours Aye

Hello Chris,

Thanks very much for the repair.
It is superbly done!
I particularly like the fact that I can unscrew it without removing the rubber and I like the way you have prepared the fan!

Many thanks again,

Dear Chris,

Thanks very much for fixing it, you should be given a job by Jobs!

Hi Chris,

Took delivery of TC early this morning, and I'm absolutely delighted how professionally the modifications were carried out. I have since done a backup and can't believe how slightly warm it is after.

Many thanks for a job well done.

Hi Chris,

I received my resurrected TC yesterday and am now merrily backing up once again as it purrs along quietly and coolly in the background.

I have to admit, I am astonished at the quality of your work, it has been done to the highest degree and my delight and admiration of how you have transformed it cannot be put into words - the attention to detail and the finish is a sight to behold, the photos do not do justice to holding the finished product in my hands and seeing the craftsmanship with my own eyes.

I will heartily recommend to anyone with a dead TC - to get it shipped off to Selby now, it is worth every penny!

Thank you once again!
Dave Stead

Hi Chris,

My departure to the Netherlands has been delayed till tonight, so I just got the TC back from my friend Ed.

It's up and running again, working beautifully.
As said; I'm very impressed with the work you've done, the website you've set up and the help and advise you offer to people.
It's a whole lot more than Apple does unfortunately.
Thanks again. You've saved my time capsule!

What I received in return was a masterpiece of modern craftsmanship and ingenuity.

To say, "I'm pleased" belittles what you must have put into this project since day-1.

Goooood job!!

Hello Chris

My TC arrived safely a short time ago and has been unpacked, admired, connected and working. Just like to say I'm very impressed with the quality of the repair and modification to the unit and appreciate your professional, courteous and speedy service.

I'm sure the modifications will lengthen the life of the unit way beyond that of the original and I have passed your details on to a friend with a working unit and advised him to contact you regarding modification.

Kindest regards
Jim

(Simon Uden, over in Canada, could find no one to help repair his TC and stop it doing an impersonation of a large expensive white paperweight. Without damaging anything, he removed only the bits that were needed for me to repair and modify, which were much more lightweight to send to the UK and back, having had work done. This is what he writes... )

Chris,
After traveling many thousands of miles from Canada to England and back, my damaged pieces from my rather expensive "Apple Door Stop" are now back in my possession, and the sign of the beautiful green light is back.  A sight that several months ago, I thought would never see the light of day again. Your skills are of the highest calibre, your work and service are both of a first class nature, and I cannot thank you enough for the outstanding work you do.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You have my express permission to use anything I have said on your web site.

It blows my mind that there is such an apparent failure, and such a resistance from the global giants to assist.  I will always think twice now about giving my money to Apple.  I will take up the fight with them, I don't see me getting anywhere, but I think it's important for them to know the user's frustration.  I doubt I will ever get a response like you, but if I ever do I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks again for such a sterling job.  There is no hesitation in my mind sending the thing to you was the best thing I could have ever done.

Kindest Regards,
Simon

Hi Chris,

How can we at Savage Towers thank you enough for your outstanding refurbishment!!
It is truly a marvel of engineering, shame the Apple bods are still making them incorrectly, for whatever reason.
Our TC looks wonderful with new legs, you would never know it has undergone major surgery.
It's plugged in, purring away and backing up quite happily.

When it packed up and i first looked on the Apple website, I couldn't believe that our serial was just out of range and
not entitled to an apple refurb.. thank the lord we found your site as it makes clear that we would be better off sending to you
as they do not fix the problem, only the symptom!

Thank you again for your hard work.

many.many thanks for a wonderful job

Kind regards
Matt & Averil Savage

The Apple TC 2Tb arrived at 8:15am this morning thank you Chris.

The considered packaging was like getting a brand new one from Apple.  Fired up, green light and restored settings all within 5 mins.  Now backing up 411Gb which will of course take a while.

Beautifully neat job too, looks like it was made that way - (as indeed it should have been). So thank you very much again Chris for getting me so quickly out of this problem. Highly recommendable service in all respects from first contact through the work in progress, fix and test, and finally dispatch back to owner, with confidence inspiring email updates throughout, all in just four days from dispatch to return.

Exceptional value especially if, as I did, you take the 1 > 2Tb drive upgrade as well, leaving you feeling you really do now have a cooler, more reliable and much improved capacity Time Capsule, somewhat future proofed having arisen from it’s untimely graveyard and probably now not likely to return there for many a year.

Kindest regards,
Captain John Murray

Chris,

Can I say I'm absolutely delighted with the work you carried out on my
TC. It's working perfectly, only slightly warm to the touch, and
happily backing up my Mac again regularly. The work has been done to a
high standard and to turn it around in 24 hours was incredible for
which I thank you most kindly. It's nice to have access to my full
music library and all my photos which are also stored in the device.

Once again many thanks.

Regards
Ian

Hi Chris,

I received the TC back this morning and it's working perfectly now, pleasingly cool to the touch and purring away happily.

Thanks so much for such a stirling job. Your modifications to the unit have been done to a very high standard and even your return packaging was perfect. I really appreciate the time and effort you have put into fixing this – it's worth far more than what you asked me to pay!

Best,
Peter

(I asked Pete Williams, after he had offered to say positive things about what I had done to his mangled TC to get it all nice and shiny again; this is what he wrote... )

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, a wonderful fruit based company devised a system to keep us warm as we used our computers, which also doubled as a plate warmer and hot surface to keep the rest of your curry or Chinese food warm. Although being an efficient silent heater was obviously its main purpose, with a little technical knowledge, backups of software and files could also be stored on it !

The people thought this invention was incredible, but rather like unpopular vegetables in the bottom of your fridge, it had a shelf life… 18 months was the average, and many thought that the device could then only be used as an expensive door stop, and sadness fell upon the land

As a mere peasant (albeit with high hopes), I attacked my device with an assortment of  blacksmith’s tools, and after much huffing and puffing I was able to remove the grey rubber that coated the devices bottom and in the process only ripped it into 7 pieces !  After removing the many screws, and levering off the base plate I was presented with a mess of electronics I neither understood, nor could repair, and more importantly in this state, I could no longer use it as a door stop

As with every tale, there should be a happy ending, and this story is no different thanks to Prince Christopher of Eutechnics, who rode into my life on his grey and white stallion (ok, website) fresh from his crusades into Scottishland, “send forth your heater, peasant” he exclaimed, and I did as I was commanded. I also gave him the bag of beans my mother had refused to plant in case the Jobs Giant came down to eat the villagers, and this encouraged the Prince to work even faster, and he returned my heater after just 2 days of fiddling

I said there should be a happy ending, and there should !  But sadly my heater is no more… Even after Prince Christopher’s hard work and a sprinkling of fairy dust, and even though its rubber bottom looks perfect and like it’s never been touched, and it has nice new rubber feet, and there’s a very neat and tidy hole where there always should have been…. My device now allows my Chinese food to get cold, and I am having to throw dwarves on the fire to keep warm !

Ending on a positive note though, Cinderella says she has now safely backed up her porn collection !

The End…. Or the beginning of a long and happily renewed relationship with my Time Capsule

Or I could do you a boring straightforward one Chris ?

If you fancy chucking a link anywhere near your website – www.pwes.co.uk  For Professional DJs and Entertainment – t’would be superdooper !

Cheers buddy, you really are a star !!
 Pete

Hi Chris,

I set up the Time Capsule over the weekend and it is humming happily in a corner, just warm to the touch.  I was a little worried about the fan being on all the time, but this is not proving to be a problem or obtrusive.  I must congratulate you on an excellent job with the modifications and alteration, it really does look as though it has just come from the factory.  All the changes you've made look as though they are from the original casting, as it were.

An ingenious solution.

(A message from Rob Cory)

I could not be happier with it...

You have given a very good service for a very fair price.
Backed up me laptop yesterday and now backin' up me imac (via ethernet for initial back up).
An absolute pleasure to do business with you.
I will be spreading the word.
Apple could do themselves a favor and get you in as a technician!

Thankyou once again.

Rob

Hello Chris,

The TC has arrived in fine fettle and this email will have winged its way to you via the TC wireless network, while my Macbook is now at peace having brought Time Machine up to date!

The mod looks excellent and the quality is great - an observer without any previous TC/Mac knowledge would think that it was shipped from Apple like that (as perhaps it should have been)! The fan is quietly working away and I can even feel air movement from the case, its been on a couple of hours now and is running much cooler to touch.

Thanks again for your efforts and they are much appreciated - I will keep you posted on its progress.

Best Wishes,

John

Subject: TimeCapsule repaired - thanks to the group and the repairer

Hi folks

Some time ago, I posted about my TimeCapsule having died through heat exhaustion in the power supply. Bruce Johnson posted a link to various repair methods, which led me to a list of people who could do them. One of these was Chris Fackrell (
http://www.fackrell.me.uk/), who provided a friendly, professional and generally excellent service. The TimeCapsule is back with me, with a large fan cooling the reinvigorated power-supply, and doing what it should do.

Thanks to the list, especially Bruce Johnson, and to Chris!

Bruce Ryan

Hi chris

My Tc is running great, only very slightly warm on the front left of the unit. Looks to be a top job well done!!

Cheers

Dear Chris,

I received the unit safe and sound last week. Your work is beautiful, the vent looks like original equipment. I have already got it going and it works just like new, indeed better now that I can be confident it will last much longer than a year.

Cheers!

Charlie

(Joakim contacted me from Sweden. Email attached, warts and all. His English is superior to any of my Swedish!).

Hello Chris!

It functions perfectly and I am so happy to find all files just as i hoped for, intact despite the burnt caps!
Thank You very very much for your very professional handling and hammering, seems like you have the
patience needed aswell as the knowledge which is rare!

It susurruses quite a bit and now resides secluded, well vented and almost dust free :)
Thank's for your info paper (and the "evidence of failiure") and all the info online!

Very happy Swede!

Best regards
Joakim

Chris

Sorry - should have said....

Excellent workmanship, following really helpful correspondence. The unit looks unaltered apart from the obvious vent, some sensible feet and a constantly running fan. I am looking forward to the reliable service I expect from an Apple product.

Nicholas

Thanks Chris,
Your service is efficient and delivered a much better quality product than Apple designed.  I'm so impressed with the neatness of the adaptation that I think you should apply to be one of their design team.

Many thanks.

Hello Chris,
Everything is working fine so far and without doubt the capsule feels much much cooler to the touch now than it used to.
Peter

Chris

It's great to have my TC back - finally we can 'all' get back online -
I am doing a back up now....  The TC is working wonderfully and
looking at the job you wouldn't know you have worked on it!!  You
really are a magician!

Chris many thanks again for a great job - if (God forbid anything goes
wrong again) and when I need your services again I will be in touch!

Many Thanks

Regards,
Toby

Dear Chris,
Thank you it is great and a beautifully engineered repair.
Thanks also for keeping me posted on the progress
I was away in France last week which is why I couldn’t reply earlier
I just popped into the office at lunchtime today and picked it up:
all is working just fine and how much more sensible to do it this way and save the data on the hard drive.
Will recommend your service in case any of my friends run into the same problem!!
Kind regards
Peter Kropholler

Hi Chris,

Just a line to say that my TC is now back up and running. It connected first time and remembered its previous configuration so I can access my backups again, which is useful as I seem to have lost a few tracks out of iTunes for some bizzare reason. Currently it is backing up 35Gb of changes!

Thank you so much for your help. I will pass on news of your service to friends who have a TC, and recommend that they think about your service even if their machine is ok. You deserve every penny that you charge and I hope you get lots of orders and make a decent pot of money. You deserve it.

If you ever want a commendation, look no further, I will happily provide one, or please use this email to show others as evidence of your good work.

I cannot thank you enough,

Best Wishes,

Alan Rogers

Dear Christopher,

I was going to email after about a month to update you but you beat me to it!
Everything is working well to date,  your excellent repair is running smoothly and reliably and hopefully will keep motoring along....
Many thanks again for your time and expertise in getting us back up and running with our TC...

Kindest regards
Grainne

Dear Chris,

Got the TC this morning. Very impressed and grateful for your work. I would like to recommend you to a friend who has the same problem. Please let me know if you need a reference in the future. Just out of curiosity, have you ever need to modify an Apple TV?

Once again, thank you very much for your help.

Kind regards,
Choo

Hi Chris

That is really a lovely job, If I could have done it myself it would be exactly like what you have done, really pleased with mate.

Thanks
Samuel

Chris,

Just got it up and running - perfect job, thanks so much. For what it's worth I think you can entirely justify putting your price up - you've done a beautiful job, and that I would be prepared to pay as much again for this kind of repair.

Thanks again,
Jon

Hi Chris

Just picked up my TC and connected it.
All working well!
Thank you so much for your speedy service.

Rhodri

Hi Chris,

You've done a good job, it looks great, thanks.
My colleagues at work all think that it looks well done!.

Cheers
Simon

Hi Chris,

Wow, fast work! Thanks. If I can get my full network and backups running again before the end of the week I shall be most pleased.
Also the kids will be happy too since I've currently stolen the router from the TV (Media Centre) as a temporary replacement for the TC.

Best regards
Andy B

Dear Chris,

I am really grateful for the vastly superior Time Capsule I now own compared to the one Apple supplied.

It runs cool, it looks cool and above all else... It is back from the dead!!!

Much appreciated!
Murdoch

Chris,

Thank you so much for the excellent work. I’d be happy to pass on your information to others at work.

Oh, you don’t owe me a coffee, I owe you one so it’ll be on me.

Thanks again,
Tom
